  • Talk About Talk Art

    I absolutely Adore this show…

I used to find driving for 40 minutes to various places a bind, but now I look forward to it because I’ve got Robert & Russell ( or sometimes just one of the two) to accompany me on the journey.

This is a super-bright, highly intelligent, curious and exciting podcast. I find that it vastly informs my own work… the variety of guests with their different practices and bents is always inspiring and amazing for filling in the gaps, you didn’t know you had !

  • KAWS

KAWS interview - KAWS has got to be the most insipid maker of stuff that is most definitely not art - but extremely mediocre design . As one eminent voice in art criticism said it’s ā€˜art’ for people who don’t like art.

Such mediocre producers of ā€˜stuff’ often cite Warhol as an inspiration - it goes without saying, such an uncritical maker aside from the obvious business angle hasn’t the faintest idea of what Warhol was about

  • Do the Research

If you’re planning to interview a podcast guest, it might be a good idea to ask Chat GPT for a bio beforehand. It takes 2 minutes. Russell’s question to Alison Goldfrapp of, ā€œWho’s Will Gregory?ā€ was embarrassing, but Alison handled it like a pro. And then, ā€œWho’s Tricky?ā€ Do better!
