We just had three great to excellent superhero shows going on at the same time (Invincible, DD, Boys) and they were hardly covered. I don’t think they ever talked about Invincible. Absolutely wild.
Can’t say enough about Marc Bernardin. Love his reviews and views. The man knows a bleep ton about writing and he brings such a great well-rounded background to this pod. And he has the patience of a saint to work with Kevin Smith (love Kev but wow he strays off into tangents).
Only quibble is too much time spent on too many ads.
This podcast has become almost unlistenable. It’s sad when your wish, when a new podcast episode drops, is that the host not be there. Kevin used to be entertaining and engaging, now he is an absolute drag on the podcast. I don’t mind a podcast that is 2.5 hours long, if there is actual interesting content. Marc provides that, but Kevin’s interruptions and meandering pointless pondering make that content next to impossible to get or enjoy. Sponsor shout outs (commercials) should not be seven min... more
Bamph man is best in small doses. We do not need you reaching around your elbow to scratch your wrist when trying to explain yourself. You spent 10 minutes to say “we are opening a second bar”. Lord, you were born a ramblin’ man.
I really want to like this show but it takes forever to get to whatever the title says the show is about! Mark is the only real critic on this show. His opinions are golden and well thought out. Kevin likes everything and he’s reasoning is “well I could never make that so I’m going to say it’s good “. Do you have to make a comment about your movies on every episode?! Also, the vulgar jokes are played out! I try but 30 minutes in I usually give up!
