  • Great show

Love, KB and the crew but JB is somewhat of a painful listen - tries to be funny and for having a career in sports I feel like I know more about sports than he does and they call me armchair Arnie. But doesn’t really add much substance to the show but KB and Jeff and Mark have great chemistry and I listen as much as I can.

  • Not as good as it used to be

The best part of the show is the banter between Kevin, James, and Marc. Jeff is like the school bus driver trying to hang out with the kids.

  • Better without Boyd

James Boyd is horrendous and the softest dude in Indy media.

  • Jeff needs OUT

The fact i’m not the first person to say this is telling. Jeff is not necessary for this show. He forced himself onto it and needs to force himself out. The only thing he’s remotely “good” at is tossing to break. Let KB, James, and Marc take it and sleep in, Jeff. We all beg.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Best of Wednesday 7/1: World Cup and NBA Free Agency!
Q: What's the status of the Pacers' roster and cap space this offseason?
The Pacers have limited wiggle room with 11 guaranteed contracts and 13 players under contract, so they're likely to pursue depth via trade or mid-level signings rather than a big splash, focusing on adding a two-way wing and backup center.
Thursday 6/18: Previewing Fever vs. Atlanta, defining success for the Colts, What If... continues, Shelvin Mack Joins
Q: What do you recall about the Gordon Hayward shot and the closing moments of that game?
Shelvin Mack recalled the crucial screen by Matt Howard, the defensive setup that limited the ball to Gordon Hayward's left hand, and the misplay that forced a tough, contested shot. He emphasized the coaching instruction to miss the second free throw and the pressure of not being able to advance the ball on a timeout, framing the moment as a big, defining 'what if' in college basketball history.
Best of Wednesday 6/17: Alex Golden talks NBA Draft + Colts contracts looming
Q: Given the limited shelf life of running backs in the NFL, how much juice do you think Jonathan Taylor has left in the tank?
Taylor is 27 with a workload history that risks wear over time; his future contract discussions will weigh workload, durability, and how much of his production is tied to surrounding offensive line play and quarterback health. The group discusses whether a third contract is feasible or if the team should pivot while he still has high value.
Friday 6/26: Indiana Ties with the NBA Draft, WNBA Officiating & Safety, Previewing Pacers Season, & Team USA’s World Cup Loss. Greg Rakestraw & Kyle Neddenriep Join!
Q: How is Caitlin Clark officiated in the WNBA, and does this reflect broader league trends?
The hosts argue that Clark faces heavier on-court physicality and scrutiny compared with male stars, suggesting officiating can be inconsistent and influenced by star status; there is a call for broader changes to officiating standards and consistency across leagues to protect players while maintaining the product's flow.
Friday 6/26: Indiana Ties with the NBA Draft, WNBA Officiating & Safety, Previewing Pacers Season, & Team USA’s World Cup Loss. Greg Rakestraw & Kyle Neddenriep Join!
Q: What made Braden Smith a fit for the Pacers, given his hometown roots and draft position?
Braden Smith is a long, versatile guard with strong defensive instincts, floor vision, and a high basketball IQ; his local roots and growth through Westfield, Purdue, and high-level competition make him a culturally natural fit for the Pacers, with potential to be a dependable two-way contributor rather than an immediate star.
