  • My favourite basketball podcast

I follow some other hoops podcasts but Jason’s podcast has become my favourite because of the detailed breakdown I enjoy as being a competitive player myself.

Maybe a bit intense for some casual listeners, but hardcore hoopers will love this show.

  • Great show

This show isn’t for fans of hot take machines nor stat nerds. Jason knows basketball but he presents his vast knowledge in a way that’s relatable and engaging.

  • Great analysis, bad show

Jason is a pretty great analyst with good insights (when his LeBron fandom doesn’t take over). But the amount of ads per episode is pretty unbearable. And also I think the episodes are put out, and then split up into smaller fragments to be put out again later, which works on youtube but not in podcasts(reeks of greed in this platform imo). Also it’s normally like a day or 2 behind the youtube uploads, which is where I normally watch the show and recommend that over this podcast. I’m unfollowing... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

GAME 5 REACTIONS: Embiid keeps 76ers alive vs. Celtics, Wemby dominant for Spurs, Knicks beat Hawks
Q: With the potential Knicks-Celtics rematch incoming, does Derek White's shooting woes and Boston's high-variance three-point shooting give you pause at all?
Derek White's slump is concerning but not fatal; the Celtics have enough margin for error against Philly and can ride Brunson's matchup problems against the Knicks if White regains his rhythm, while Boston needs to mix up attack and leverage off-ball actions to weather White's shooting drought.
GAME 4 REACTION: Dosunmu & Wolves up 3-1 vs Jokic & Nuggets + Brunson & Knicks beat McCollum & Hawks
Q: How does the J-Dub injury affect OKC's championship odds?
The analyst argues that losing J-Dub would significantly hurt OKC's ceiling, but as long as Chet and Shai stay healthy, OKC still maintains a sizeable margin for error and remains favored in a hypothetical series against Eastern contenders.
GAME 5 REACTIONS: Sengun & Rockets SURVIVE vs LeBron & Lakers, Cade & Pistons vs Magic, Cavs-Raptors
Q: Should these Spurs be concerned about how Stefan Kassel is being guarded in the next round?
Yes, there are tactical issues around guarding points of attack like Kassel, and the team will need to adjust their schemes to prevent him from exploiting gaps, especially against bigger opponents who can contest shots and disrupt the flow of the offense.
GAME 5 REACTIONS: Sengun & Rockets SURVIVE vs LeBron & Lakers, Cade & Pistons vs Magic, Cavs-Raptors
Q: What should LeBron do this off-season—stay with the Lakers or pursue another destination like Golden State or Cleveland?
Given the circumstances, staying with the Lakers remains the most plausible path, but he could consider aligning with a teammate who can elevate him to another championship window, while also weighing the fit and finances with partners like Luka Dončić; the host suggests staying is more likely than leaving, with a focus on jump-shot improvements.
GAME 5 REACTIONS: Sengun & Rockets SURVIVE vs LeBron & Lakers, Cade & Pistons vs Magic, Cavs-Raptors
Q: If LeBron chokes away a 3-0 lead, how does that affect his legacy?
It would represent a historically negative moment, but the full context matters: LeBron would still be evaluated against an enormous track record, and the likelihood is that people will weigh the overall arc of his career rather than a single series, recognizing that the road to the Finals in this era is highly challenging and often unpredictable.
