  • Great show, but I can’t listen!

The show is amazing, five stars. But am I the only one that cannot listen to 3/4 of the episodes? Most of the time I get an error message when I try to listen to one. Timpf if goated though.

  • RE: The Ethical Hoops Rant

Great podcast, Jason. I appreciate your attempt to be unbiased when it comes to calling out flopping. Especially the way OKC has carte blanche to molest opponents, while SGA and Holmgren commit some of the worst flops I’ve ever seen. Jokic is especially hilarious, considering he hacks opponents under the basket non-stop and almost never fouls out. And, as a Lakers fan, I have to laugh at and be embarrassed by some of the flops I’ve seen by Doncic and Smart this year. But I have a bone to pick wi... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Debating LeBron James vs. Jaylen Brown + Westbrook retires, Pacers questions, Haliburton's ceiling
Q: What are your thoughts on Russell Westbrook's retirement and his legacy in the NBA?
Westbrook was incredibly exciting and eye-catching, with jaw-dropping stat lines, but his tail end included difficult moments and a less flattering public perception; overall, his career should be remembered for the athleticism, intensity, and memorable peaks in OKC and beyond.
Debating LeBron James vs. Jaylen Brown + Westbrook retires, Pacers questions, Haliburton's ceiling
Q: Kawhi Leonard isn't top-10 for the upcoming season—how do you justify that given last year's on-off numbers?
I acknowledge Kawhi had an elite season when healthy, but his long-term availability is a concern, and top-10 projections require consistent availability and impact through the full season, not just peak stretches.
76ers Deep Dive w/ Spike Eskin: LeBron James's fit, how Maxey & Jaylen fit, keep or trade Embiid?
Q: What is your elevator pitch for why this is or isn't a championship team?
The core concern is health and togetherness; Embiid's durability, combined with LeBron's age and usage, makes a championship run plausible only if the group can stay healthy, integrate smoothly, and maximize the chemistry of a new big-three type configuration.
NBA offseason winners + LeBron's decision, Luka & Lakers roster, Warriors questions, Jaylen & 76ers
Q: Hey Jason, was wondering if you have a sort of winner of the off season so far? Any team you felt has addressed the most needs or has jumped the most tiers in your rankings?
Toronto has made a dramatic leap, going from a non-threat to a serious contender, largely due to Kawhi-related moves and the broader roster improvements; I also think LeBron's status and the potential for Lakers and Cavaliers moves could reshape the top tiers depending on how the dominoes fall.
Big NBA Offseason Questions: LeBron's Lakers future, Giannis trade teams, Knicks back to back?
Q: How much of a contract do you think LeBron is worth?
In a vacuum, LeBron would command the max given his production, but teams will be constrained by cap space. The right approach is surrounding him with talent rather than offering exorbitant money, since the overarching goal is to contend rather than simply pay him the most.
