  • Sometimes too dry and scripted

This podcast has a lot of great info and interesting guests. When Matt and Brooking are the hosts, it’s a dynamic and engaging conversation. However, when Priscilla Johnson is the owner interviewing guests, it’s a very dry and scripted. It’s tough to listen to, honestly. When I listen to a podcast, I want a real meaningful discussion, not an overly scripted audio essay.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Local Reuse Initiatives
Q: Can you share how you identified who you approach to join these conversations and be a part of these workshops?
We did info sessions to share what we were thinking, get feedback, and conducted an anonymous survey, which showed strong interest.
Local Reuse Initiatives
Q: Have you tried any incentives with the coffee shops to get them to push the reusable cups?
We toyed with the idea of incentivizing baristas but weren't sure how that would work.
Reuse in Food Codes
Q: Can we assume that federally owned lands just use whatever the most updated food code is?
It's assumed that federally owned land follows the state food code even if it's federal land.
Reuse in Food Codes
Q: Why did California not adopt the FDA code?
California has their very own food code, not based on any of the original four-year cycles.
Catalyzing school reuse with dishwashing grants
Q: Why did you all choose to go with the bill route rather than a ballot measure route for our listeners in other states?
Ballot measures require extensive effort and resources, so a legislative route was more feasible for community engagement.
