The House of Strange is one of those podcasts that sneaks up on you. The storytelling is calm, deliberate, and genuinely unsettling without trying too hard. I’m completely captivated, especially by The Shadow Over Bennington. The disappearances discussed there hit uncomfortably close to home for me—very similar patterns have occurred near where I live along a lower Appalachian ridge.
Let’s be clear : I’m a sucker for anything revolving around American folklore, strange stories and anything eerie. Half of my podcast subscriptions are about these.
