The Hound of the Baskervilles by far my favorite mystery story ever. I have read it many times.
I have watched every film or televised interpretation of this novel. Each time I have been disappointed. The writers have either taken too many liberties with the plot, or abbreviated the story too much. Either way, the full flavor of the original is lost. I know that any book is better than an adaptation, but nobody has gotten even close to getting “The Hound” right.
