  • Great chemistry and content

The 2 hosts, JR and Derek, have a genuine and funny chemistry. They don’t take themselves too seriously and their reviews are interesting and amusing. They often cover unusual short stories and movies that I wouldn’t otherwise have heard of.

  • The two hosts have great chemistry and they talk about horror in both books and movies so you get a good variety. They often do round-ups where they share quick thoughts about a lot of movies at once in addition to the usual deep dives into just one book or movie at a time. It is always enjoyable to listen to them bicker back and forth as the two often have differing opinions. Both are also authors of their own horror stories and I would recommend you check those out as well. Great podcast.

Helps me find new content and avoid garbage. Also, JR is the most savage interviewer ever.
