Please don’t sully this wonderful podcast with any more Brad Lander interviews. A voice as irritating as the man.
What started as a fresh and insouciant take on NY politics has become unlistenable. On your 1/23/26 (?) show with Michael Lange, your guest repeatedly referred to the Canadian PM as “Jay Carney.” His name is “Mark Carney,” possibly confusing the former central banker with current Fed head Jay Powell. Also, in your discussion of Josh Graham’s documentary, you skipped over the problem of witnesses and victims being identified. A Brooklyn- and NYC-focused show that blends sharp political analysis with on-the-ground reporting about New York City. Episodes commonly cover housing policy, local governance, police reform, budget dynamics, and how city politics intersect with everyday life. The hosts bring a candid, often humorous, local-perspective and frequently challenge official narratives, spotlighting tenant protections, budget gaps, and the impact of decisions on working people. A notable strength is its worker-owned, subscriber-funded model and deep familiarity with NYC's policy debates, plus a willingness to critique power structures while keeping the conversations accessible to engaged city residents and professionals alike.
