  • Great content but TERRIBLE sound

Some really great content especially his Interview with the naturopathic Doctor Who specializes in SIBO.

But he really needs to correct the sound problem. If you have it at a volume level where his voice is not too loud, you cannot hear his guests. So you have to sit there holding your phone adjusting the volume up when they talk to him him and down when he talks. And it’s still not perfect because the gas audio is not as well integrated into his electronics as it should be.

The Longevity Buzz with Jaclyn Kawwas
Q: How does the gut play a central role in longevity?
The gut microbiome acts as a central driver of immune function and inflammation, influencing cardiovascular, metabolic, and neurodegenerative pathways, making gut health foundational to aging and disease prevention.
The Longevity Buzz with Jaclyn Kawwas
Q: How would you define longevity in a medical sense?
Longevity is about optimizing health across midlife to reduce disease risk and improve day-to-day vitality, not just extending lifespan; it combines prevention, symptom management, and deep data-driven personalization.
APP Playbook: GERD with Monica Nandwani, NP
Q: What does an Empiric Proton Pump Inhibitor trial look like in practice?
For classic GERD symptoms, start with a once-daily PPI taken 30 to 60 minutes before a meal for about eight weeks to assess symptom improvement, with on-demand therapy considered for infrequent or mild cases.
Gut-Brain Dysfunction with Ali Navidi, PsyD
Q: Ali, you mentioned clinical hypnosis—what does gut-directed hypnotherapy entail and what does the evidence say?
Clinical hypnosis involves guiding patients into a state of trance to modulate the gut-brain axis; it's distinct from stage entertainment hypnosis and has robust evidence, particularly for IBS, with guidelines recognizing its effectiveness.
Gut-Brain Dysfunction with Ali Navidi, PsyD
Q: Can you explain to our listeners cognitive behavioral therapy or CBT, and how that works for irritable bowel syndrome?
GI-focused CBT provides psychoeducation and practical tools to reduce hypervigilance, catastrophic thinking, and avoidance; it changes patterns of thought and behavior to lessen GI symptoms and improve coping, with interoceptive exposure to address fear of internal sensations.
