First of all, Kristin is fantastic. She is not AI. But a very fun down to earth woman who researches her passion meticulously. Personally I think the pacing is fantastic and love the dark side of American history that Kristin and ‘The Grim’ teach us about. If you like history and want to learn something that no one else is going to teach you then this podcast is for you.
Cheers!
I really enjoy this podcast and look forward to new episodes. The reviews suggesting that this is narrated by AI are so ridiculous. She does speak quickly (which my ADHD loves for the record) but she also speaks clearly (not mumbled) and is pleasant to listen to (not monotone.)
The content is well researched and very interesting. I know we’re not all going to like the same things but I feel like the negative reviews are overly ugly. Podcasts take an immense amount of work and time and I for one... more
Love the stories and you tell them pretty well keep going you can do it !
I couldn’t get through the episode on the cemetery in Truro, MA. You butchered the two most important location names. TRURO has two syllables, not three. It’s “Tru-ro” NOT Ta-ru-o. And the most annoying to someone who lived there is PROVINCETOWN, NOT Providence-town. I won’t go into how you emphasize two-syllable words by turning them into three syllables. This podcaster is annoying and uninformed. Unfollowed.
I listened to part of an episode and tapped out.. the subject matter could be really interesting but the delivery is rushed, boring and no personality.. sounds like a kid reading a book report in class as fast as possible just to get it done.. I don’t mean to be harsh, but if you want this to be successful, read these reviews as constructive criticism and make adjustments and improvements.. you’ll probably enjoy making this podcast more than it seems like you do now

The show centers on haunted cemeteries and burial grounds, blending meticulous historical research with atmospheric storytelling. Each episode surveys a specific site or memory—exploring architecture, notable interments, cultural rituals, and local legends—while framed as a travelogue through time. Listeners can expect deep dives into forgotten lives, the evolution of cemeteries as public spaces, and the ways memory, place, and folklore persist across generations. A notable strength is the consistent emphasis on context and research, making eerie tales feel anchored in history rather than mere sensationalism. The format also often highlights overlooked communities and marginalized histories, offering listeners both chills and insight for ce... more
