Really helpful and more importantly, hopeful and encouraging, during a time one is searching for answers. My life and reality, as I knew it to be, was gone, the minute I opened my son’s door and found him gone. My son seemed to was “plucked” from my life, suddenly, and took with him, our “present” and our future. With David, our oldest son, whom my younger boys idolized, and we leaned on, gone, our whole family dynamic was also lost. “We” were, and still are, at 6 months following his death, in ... more
After I lost my boys, I couldn't read and comprehend anything as much as I wanted to. The books on grief many gave and not even the Bible gave me comfort as words on the pages were just typed letters and I could not seem to understand what anything even meant like it was a different language all of a sudden. Teresa unfortunately knows the pain of child loss, and it was hearing the encouragement of the Holy Spirit through her that I found and still find comfort in. Thank you Teresa for saying ye... more
As Easter is approaching, Teresa has once again given help to the grieving mom. (#167). She has reminded us that Mary the mother of Jesus said yes to the unknown when the Angel came to her. She saw her son being rejected and felt the weight of her powerlessness. She felt the agony of losing a son on the cross. But that is not the end of the story. Resurrection was coming.
I encourage you to follow along with Teresa as God continues to give her the heart and words for grieving moms.
This podcast has truly been my lifeline after tragically loosing my 15 year old son. Teresa’s words helped me find a new perspective, helped me settle my thoughts and brought me closer to Jesus. The community I have found now has been life changing. I’m not sure where I would be with her.
I would encourage you to listen to Teresa Davis, my Grief Mentor. She can be yours too. Her words are from the Holy Spirit, as He is directing her to take her story (which might be much like yours)and use it to help grieving mamas, encourage them, show them purpose, and how to move forward in the journey of child loss with hope. Child loss is such a difficult story to navigate, but the Lord is showing Teresa how to make this her song. What an example, a mentor!
