    Dr. Warren,

My wife and I are grateful to God for you, and want to thank you for your obedience and desire to share your insights gained from trauma in your life. We pray for you, your family and ministry, as well. You are helping us to connect the dots from Scripture to application. We’ve read for years. “take every thought captive”, but it has always seemed to be out of reach. We’re gaining a framework that is enabling us to renew our minds, as God intended. Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Science Spotlight: What's in Your Water?
Q: Why is shower water filtration important?
Filtration of shower water is important because chlorine and chloramines can be absorbed through the skin and affect gut health, with shower exposure equating to drinking multiple glasses of chlorinated water daily; filtering both drinking and shower water reduces daily toxin intake.
Science Spotlight: What's in Your Water?
Q: What does the Aquatru system actually do?
She describes the four-stage filtration including sediment, lead/chlorine removal, reverse osmosis, and a VOC filter that removes pharmaceuticals and stubborn chemicals, providing purified water for drinking and cooking.
Science Spotlight: What's in Your Water?
Q: Tell us about that. Why is it such a big deal? What's wrong with our water?
Helen explains that contaminants like pesticides, forever chemicals, microplastics, arsenic, and other toxins are increasingly present in tap water and that there's limited regulation and testing, making at-home purification essential for health and safety.
Dr. Iain McGilchrist, Part II (S13E59)
Q: Do you describe reality as something we participate in rather than standing over? Is participation impersonal or personal, and how might that distinction shape our understanding of prayer?
Reality is participatory and personal; our attention and encounter with what exists shape what reality is for us. Prayer should be understood as listening and being receptive, where the practice involves sitting with silence and allowing something to emerge that speaks to the heart.
Throwback: Tish Harrison Warren (S13E49)
Q: What's helpful and what's not helpful when people are in pain, especially for those in ministry who care for others in lament and grief?
Presence matters as much as preaching; ministers should model vulnerability and the practice of listening and accompanying people through pain, rather than insisting on quick solutions, while embracing both presence and doctrine as complementary tools.
