  • My #1 podcast. Great Host and Great Guests

Christopher is truly the best podcast host I have listened to. He has insightful and he asks provoking questions,

he listens to his guests and he comes back with real and vulnerable thoughts. I can't thank him enough for providing this gift to others. I can't share it enough to help others through what challenges they might going through.

  • SOLID.

This is excellent. After a couple episodes, I got ahold of “Healing What You Can’t Erase.” After two rounds of that audiobook, I bought the hard copy. I too suffered horribly during that same season Christopher did. The topics covered in his book and podcast are gritty and raw and healing. I’m a regular now, maybe a groupie. 😉 This is deepening my journaling as well as my mysterious journey with our Savior, Jesus Christ.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

You're Not in a Rough Season. You're EMPTY. Dr. Chris Palmer on the Meaning Crisis Hiding in Plain Sight.
Q: From your vantage point, how did we drift into this center-of-interpretation crisis where we all see the world through our own biases?
The drift happened in incremental shifts: the information age overwhelmed with rapid, unchecked sharing and a cultural move toward subjectivity, where people chase meaning in self-centered ways and fill gaps with constructs like practical polytheism rather than God.
SUMMER BREAK: God Won't Force You to Heal. Debra Fileta on The Reason Most People Aren't Emotionally Healthy, How "Trauma-Informed" Has Been Taken Too Far, and Why You Can't Be Spiritually Mature if Your Mental Health is in the Trash
Q: What can listeners do to begin healing in their own lives right away?
Start with patterns over pain points, invite boundaries that are flexible, seek safe relationships, and engage with a counselor to partner in healing.
Q: Why is there a distinction between spiritual competence and emotional health, and how do they interact?
Spiritual competence relates to knowledge and practices with God, while emotional health involves patterns, beliefs, and relational skills; both are needed for true maturity.
Q: What was the moment in your own life when you realized that loving people well required emotional work beyond good intentions?
Debra describes a slow, excavation-like process of uncovering layers of healing, not a single moment, and emphasizes ongoing, deliberate work with God.
When Did You Turn Jesus Into a Good Luck Charm? Bethany Wohrle Opens Up About the Miracle That Never Came and the Faith That Stayed.
Q: How do we know if we've turned Jesus into a good luck charm?
True, experiential faith is not about guarantees or outcomes; it's about trusting Jesus through uncertainty, inviting honest vulnerability, and letting community speak into our lives rather than clinging to results.
