What a wonderful find! Fascinating subject, brilliantly hosted by John Burke. Burke is a former atheist engineer who got into the subject of near death experiences by accident. His methodical study and excellent oration make this podcast a slam dunk. The subject is gaining traction even within science. Some of the cases cannot simply be written off as some brain chemical reaction. One of the most fascinating subjects out there.
Solid podcast, John’s very passionate & clearly using his voice to spread word of some pretty rad stuff. Not to get too far off point, but this helped solidify (affirm my already sturdy beliefs) during a season of heavy grief/loss/oppression. Helped a lot, put a smile on the faces of anyone who’d ride in my car to-from a hospitals ICU/ER over the period of an entire year.
Keep it up, great show, can’t overdo “Jesus is what’s up/everything comes back-down to him & his name). Word.
Good pod, but a commercial every 5-10 min is rough.
I’ve listened to a lot of podcasts—and this one is hands down my favorite. It’s the one I keep coming back to and recommending to everyone I know. The perspective it offers on life is both grounding and uplifting, and it has a way of shifting how you think in the best possible way.

Hey John-
Great show! We need this material. You are doing great Kingdom work. But I’m writing to inform you that the ads you have recently begun inserting come out of absolutely nowhere. They are placed not just mid-thought, but often mid-sentence, cutting people off without warning. It’s hard to believe that in this day and age there is not a solution for this. I wouldn’t say anything, but man… they have degraded the listening experience significantly. Not just in quantity, although that als... more

A thought-provoking show exploring near-death experiences (NDEs) and their intersections with faith, science, and the afterlife. Across episodes, listeners encounter a spectrum of personal testimonies—from NDE experiencers and faith-driven survivors to medical professionals and theologians—often centered on heaven, forgiveness, and identity in Christ. While the conversations frequently affirm spiritual hope and God's love, they also tackle questions about consciousness, suffering, and the nature of reality. Noteworthy is the strong emphasis on personal transformation and the way testimonies are used to illuminate Biblical perspectives on eternity. A distinctive element is the blend of intimate storytelling with theological and sometimes sci... more
