Q: What would you advise couples to do first to create better habits around sex and communication?
Focus on understanding the emotional and physiological factors behind intimacy, educate yourselves about how desire works (initiating vs receptive), and start by discussing what each partner needs in terms of anticipation and communication. Q: I guess my question should be, when you're in the middle of it, so you're just, you know, you're not doing well inside, what's your advice? Like, what's advice in like the middle of that?
My advice is to lean into grace, slow down, rest in God, call trusted friends, and eventually confess openly to your partner so you can begin the ministry of reconciliation and move toward restoration.
