We’re back and we’re raging. While this virus may play a part, we’re mostly pissed off at the sequels to 28 Days Later. The first one, in particular, is enough to make you chew someone’s face off. Happily, the original film still has as much bite as ... more
We’re back and we’re hungry for brains. Sure, that whole that whole thing about zombies eating brains was made up by Dan O’Bannon in 1985, but that doesn’t make them any less tasty. And just because we’re chowing down on some grey matter doesn’t mean... more
We’re back and we’re checking the vents. They’re long overdue a service, but that doesn’t mean they should be talking about eating people’s kidneys. While we might dismiss that as a load of hot air, the vents don’t even provide that most days. We wou... more
We’re back and we’re hunting for the biggest cigarette paper known to man. Well, ideally known to the gods too. If we’re going to fit an entire pantheon inside, this thing needs to be truly cyclopean, and maybe even non-Euclidean. An extra dimension ... more

I’ve been listening to this show for over six years. It is great. I get so many recommendations for new movies, books, etc from here. A must listen for anyone into horror or roleplaying.
One of the ‘Great Old Ones’ of RPG/ horror literature podcasting, this show goes from strength to strength in its second decade. I am enjoying the new format in which our hosts are joined by a special guest each episode (or pair of episodes) - a nice blending of the familiar and the strange, old friends and new.
The conversations of the Good Friends take in most topics under the sun(s) - all seen through the blood-stained spectacles of horror, of course!
Oh how i love this show these hosts. It makes me wish there was a show about the knee popping "adventures of old man vampire Scott!
Every episode is an interesting discussion and after the sad departure of their third host, they now bring guests hosts who just happen to be my favourite roleplayers and people! Ross Bryant AND Josephine McAdam!
Can this show get any better!?
Easy to listen to, great chemistry, and regularly shares ideas that I’ve found myself thinking about weeks later. I’ve listened to many episodes in the back catalogue multiple times.
While it’s sad to see Paul Fricker leave the show, the guest hosts have been a great fit and brought a new depth to the show. I’ve been a listener for four years now, and I look forward for many more years to come.
The hosts of the show are incredibly insightful into Lovecraft’s work and what makes horror work in gaming. Listening to this podcast has been a great resource for my own scenario writing.
