By far the best podcast on Cthulhu and the RPG-related horror genre, knowledeable hosts, superb guests and high standard production.
Love all the classics that Paul, Matt and excellent guests explore.
I’m a reader and explorer of older horror, plus a Delta Green handler … so this podcast is perfect fodder for reading and writing
I’ve been listening to this show for over six years. It is great. I get so many recommendations for new movies, books, etc from here. A must listen for anyone into horror or roleplaying.
One of the ‘Great Old Ones’ of RPG/ horror literature podcasting, this show goes from strength to strength in its second decade. I am enjoying the new format in which our hosts are joined by a special guest each episode (or pair of episodes) - a nice blending of the familiar and the strange, old friends and new.
The conversations of the Good Friends take in most topics under the sun(s) - all seen through the blood-stained spectacles of horror, of course!
Oh how i love this show these hosts. It makes me wish there was a show about the knee popping "adventures of old man vampire Scott!
Every episode is an interesting discussion and after the sad departure of their third host, they now bring guests hosts who just happen to be my favourite roleplayers and people! Ross Bryant AND Josephine McAdam!
Can this show get any better!?

This show centers on horror, gaming, and lore-driven storytelling, with a strong emphasis on tabletop role-playing, Lovecraftian fiction, and media analysis. Episodes explore reimaginings of classic monsters, gateway and accessibility in horror, inspiration and originality in creating games and narratives, and practical guidance for running tabletop campaigns. The panel format blends deep expertise with warm, humorous banter, often featuring guests who contribute specialized perspectives from horror gaming, writing, or game design.
