  • Good info on CoC ttrpg and other things

Pretty good series. They do a lot. they talk about various ttrpgs and give role-playing tips, books and movies recommendations, interviews with people in the industries and actual plays. Can't say how much good info I've gotten from this podcast.

  • Awesome podcast by two established writers, and creators of Call of Cthulhu modules. I love the history of the game, sneak peaks at new up and coming books and game modules, and the Keeper (game master) tips!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

MM 57 - Jon & Seth Ask Us Anything!
Q: Which non-CoC game rule would you steal for CoC and why?
They discuss momentum-like mechanics from other systems (e.g., Space 1999 2D20 momentum pool) and how such a resource could enhance action and teamwork in Call of Cthulhu, while noting it would need careful balance.
MM 57 - Jon & Seth Ask Us Anything!
Q: What is your current non-Call of Cthulhu project, if any, that you can share?
Neither host is actively sharing a new project at the moment beyond ongoing edits and non-disclosable announcements; they hint at pending releases and future plans.
MM 57 - Jon & Seth Ask Us Anything!
Q: Ducks or Geese?
Geese are scarier in practice, but both can be fun as world-building flavor; the hosts joke about preferences before committing to a light-hearted preference.
Modern Mythos - Ep.51
Q: Will Seasons Change be a standalone scenario?
Yes, it is a standalone scenario that takes about two nights to play.
Modern Mythos - Ep.51
Q: What inspired your latest project, Seasons Change?
I was inspired by the film Climax. It transformed my project from a simple survival horror puzzle to a complex three-act scenario.
