  • Great premise and guests terrible host

The American lady host is absolutely horrible. I’m really interested in some of these episodes but having her host is unbearable. PLEASE STOP INTERRUPTING YOUR GUESTS

  • Interesting topics, but no in-depth analysis

The Global Story, compared to its predecessor versions, provides analysis and conversation on interesting topics, but lacks the depth of analysis and breadth of expert opinion. It almost exclusively relies on interviewing BBC journalists and doesn’t bring in too many external experts. The programme is foreign affairs made simple, but almost a bit too simple. The series has been dumbed down significantly since Ritula Shah hosting The Real Story.

  • Not global

I wonder why Asma left NPR for a podcast this bad. Story selection is really bad and definitely not a global podcast

This podcast is becoming more and more irrelevant. Repeating episodes, not adding anything extra… waste of time really

  • Too US centred

This use to be a great show and I loved getting informed with the global issues and even positive stories of the day. Now though, it’s really centred the US quite intentionally as if there’s no imagining global stories without focusing on Trump and his incessant need for attention. If you’re interested in another podcast about the US with some mentions of other cultures now and then I guess this show is for you.
