Really interesting hearing more about Reagan. In regards to the Whisky Au Go Go fire I thought Vince O'Dempsey was responsible?
Not sure if the reviewer who wrote AI slop listened to podcast as they haven’t reproduced his voice but cleaned up his recordings and used AI to enhance and fill in gaps. It’s a fascinating story but it just doesn’t flow. It skips back and forth and characters are introduced then their story is told in separate episodes so you’re a bit all over the place and it’s hard to stay with the story
I found the start hard listening…quite slow and repetitive. As I love a good Aussie true crime story I persisted and it did get better as the story went on. Still a bit clunky with the presentation, but it has been well researched and tells a good story about someone I’d never heard of, despite knowing about plenty of the other characters and events surrounding him.
I loved this podcast. Matthew has an inimitable style of story telling which is fast becoming a lost art. I hope the family someday get some answers.
Its about time some actual investigation was done around this supposed gangster. I find the story telling easy to follow and concise. A huge effort has clearly gone into this podcast.
Congrats to all.
