  • Obviously an incredible podcast

My husband takes my phone and disappears to the bathroom every time a new episode of this podcast goes live. He’s in there over an hour, and I can hear laughter and crying, followed by climactic screams, so it must be very moving. I assume he’s listening to this. The browsing history is always missing when he eventually gives my phone back.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

RTFM 226: Harry Milas on the magic of game protection
Q: What differences do you notice between audiences in different countries?
Audiences vary by coast and country; Americans tend to treat poker as a social activity and attach a strong cultural element to it, whereas in the UK it's more of a casual pastime with a broader spectrum of attendees, influencing how I tailor the show.
RTFM 226: Harry Milas on the magic of game protection
Q: How did you transition from being involved in these games to performing a stage show about them?
The shift came from recognizing that I could translate the real techniques, like memory and card handling, into a theatrical, close-up experience that audiences could understand and engage with, essentially turning a personal journey into a public performance.
RTFM 226: Harry Milas on the magic of game protection
Q: What was your background in game protection and how did you get into it?
I started in informal games, learning the ropes through local, low-stakes setups, which gradually pulled me into watching games in more formal settings and watching how the dynamics shifted as I grew older and moved toward performing.
RTFM 228: Understanding Sweepstakes with Jeff Laniado
Q: What's the difference between sweepstakes casinos and regulated online casinos in the US, and why has sweepstakes surged recently?
Jeff explains the regulatory white space, the lower barrier to entry for sweepstakes operators, and how lottery-like sweepstakes can legally offer casino-like experiences where full online casino licenses are not yet available; this has driven rapid growth in the sector.
RTFM 228: Understanding Sweepstakes with Jeff Laniado
Q: What is the difference between a director of sales and a sales director?
The hosts joke about the order of the words, then clarify through the guest that the role is essentially the same; a light, humorous reminder of terminology rather than a substantive difference.
