  • Obviously an incredible podcast

My husband takes my phone and disappears to the bathroom every time a new episode of this podcast goes live. He’s in there over an hour, and I can hear laughter and crying, followed by climactic screams, so it must be very moving. I assume he’s listening to this. The browsing history is always missing when he eventually gives my phone back.

RTFM 246: Exploring the Future of Gambling with Bitcoin
Q: How does non‑custodial Lightning infrastructure handle AML/KYC and source of funds?
AML/KYC is largely handled by the counterparties (e.g., exchanges or custodians like River or Coinbase) that KY C‑verify individuals, while Lightning nodes themselves operate as payment rails. If a participant is not properly KYC'd on the other end, transactions can be blocked by the channel providers or custodians.
RTFM 246: Exploring the Future of Gambling with Bitcoin
Q: What exactly is Lightning, and why does it matter for iGaming in terms of costs and speed?
Lightning is a layer-two solution that processes many transactions off the main Bitcoin chain, enabling instant, low-cost transfers between players and operators. This reduces the high on-chain fees and allows multiple micro‑transactions during a gaming session before a final settlement, making crypto gambling more practical.

Q: Can you break down how SBRnet builds its sample to reflect the US population?
We create a model of the US population aged 13 and older, sampling by age, income, gender, ethnicity, geography, and marital status, and then we wait the data to ensure each cell has enough responses before reporting.
