  • Thank you

I just wanted to thank you for coming back. This is my favorite podcast. I have a question. Will y’all consider covering the DC Finest collections? Y’all already basically did the first volume on your old podcast.

  • I’m So Late to the Party…

I’d originally left this review under the relatively inactive ‘Who’s Who’ feed, but seeing as how the same great personalities are still heavily involved elsewhere, I wanted to re-issue the review to the whole network (and the sentiments truthfully go to Shag, Rob, and all their cohosts/contributors)—- see below:

Well, I'm astronomically late to this entire party, but l'd be remiss if I didn't offer up an obligatory rave review. Shag and Rob have offered up a podcast—... more

  • Makes the listener want to join in!

Just finished listening to the Ted Lasso episode and it was fantastic. Listening to the three share their thoughts and adoration for the show and characters made me not only want to watch the the AppleTV show all over again, but had me wishing I was right there in the room with them, joining in the conversation. That’s the highest compliment I can give!

  • Found my joy

I’ve been listening to the FW Network for years. I came for the comic book talk, stayed for the movie and TV conversations, and found more and more great stuff to listen to and enjoy. This is a great group of people.

This is a great group of podcasts. It wasn’t until recently though that it really clicked with me just what it was that I loved about coming back time & time again. I ALWAYS have a smile on my face while listening. Always. Doesn’t matter how I felt when I pressed play, when the sho... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Fantastic Pour Episode 18 - Legion 5YL and Fireball Shooter
Q: Which character dynamics in this arc stand out the most to you?
The relationship dynamics, especially between Celeste Rockfish and the Legion, the evolving leadership of Rock Kryn, and the reveal of Laurel Gand's role as a Supergirl analogue, are central to understanding the era's emotional core and long-term fan impact.
Fantastic Pour Episode 18 - Legion 5YL and Fireball Shooter
Q: What makes the cover and the nine-panel grid approach so distinctive for this run?
The cover's stark rebirth motif and the nine-panel grid create a claustrophobic, methodical rhythm that mirrors EarthGov's control and the team's constrained sense of justice, while the splash pages break that rhythm at key moments to land emotional punches.
Fantastic Pour Episode 18 - Legion 5YL and Fireball Shooter
Q: Why did you choose to focus on this specific issue (Legion of Super-Heroes Volume 4, Issue 12) for the Five Year Later era?
Because it represents a crystallizing moment where the team confronts the consequences of their actions, redefines their ethics, and delivers a high-impact, cinematic culmination that divides fans and critics, while illustrating the narrative experiment of publishing a rebooted universe in a serialized format.
Fade Out - Thelma Ritter
Q: How did you get involved in writing about Thelma Ritter, and what drew you to her career?
Christy explains that her interest grew from deep engagement with Ritter's body of work and a long-term research project that uncovered archival material at the Margaret Herrick Library, which reshaped her understanding of Ritter's trajectory and influence.
M*A*S*HCast 179 - The Yalu Brick Road
Q: What makes this episode stand out for you as a writer and performer?
The guest discusses the episode's blend of lighthearted humor with practical wartime chaos, the strong character dynamics, and Mike Farrell's sole writing credit as a standout achievement that demonstrates the show's range.
