  • Thank you

I just wanted to thank you for coming back. This is my favorite podcast. I have a question. Will y’all consider covering the DC Finest collections? Y’all already basically did the first volume on your old podcast.

  • I’m So Late to the Party…

I’d originally left this review under the relatively inactive ‘Who’s Who’ feed, but seeing as how the same great personalities are still heavily involved elsewhere, I wanted to re-issue the review to the whole network (and the sentiments truthfully go to Shag, Rob, and all their cohosts/contributors)—- see below:

Well, I'm astronomically late to this entire party, but l'd be remiss if I didn't offer up an obligatory rave review. Shag and Rob have offered up a podcast—... more

  • Makes the listener want to join in!

Just finished listening to the Ted Lasso episode and it was fantastic. Listening to the three share their thoughts and adoration for the show and characters made me not only want to watch the the AppleTV show all over again, but had me wishing I was right there in the room with them, joining in the conversation. That’s the highest compliment I can give!

  • Found my joy

I’ve been listening to the FW Network for years. I came for the comic book talk, stayed for the movie and TV conversations, and found more and more great stuff to listen to and enjoy. This is a great group of people.

This is a great group of podcasts. It wasn’t until recently though that it really clicked with me just what it was that I loved about coming back time & time again. I ALWAYS have a smile on my face while listening. Always. Doesn’t matter how I felt when I pressed play, when the sho... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Cheers Cast 10.04: The Norm Who Came to Dinner
Q: Well, then, as a first-time guest, how and when did you become a fan of Cheers?
Maryann shares that she became a fan from the very beginning, started rewatching the series later, and discovered the Cheers podcast as part of her journey, which led to her guest appearance and ongoing appreciation for the show.
M*A*S*HCast 194 - April Fools
Q: What makes David Ogden Stiers' performance stand out in this episode?
His mastery of delivery and voice work adds extra layers to even simple lines, making Charles a standout despite limited screen time, which enriches the ensemble dynamic of the finale.
Peace Bound and Down - Wonder Woman Vol. 2, Issue 20
Q: Why did you choose this issue in particular?
The guest and host discuss the issue's one-off, bottle-episode feel, its bold shift toward street-level crime, and how it stands out within the Wonder Woman run due to its noir storytelling and the strong first-person detective narration.
JSA in the 90s – Justice Society of America #4 (July 1991)
Q: What did you think of this issue compared to earlier parts of the mini-series?
The guests felt it was solid and fun but noted it was lighter in energy and character focus on Carter, compared with the deeper looks at Jay Garrick, Dinah Lance, and Alan Scott in earlier issues.
Once Upon A Geek - Building the Outback Team: Uncanny X-Men #213-219 plus Annuals (1986-87)
Q: Why does Longshot feel underutilized in these issues despite being billed as a new X-Man on the cover?
Longshot is visually prominent and used to emphasize the new team, but his dialogue is limited and his powers are not always central to the action, which leads to the sense that he is more a symbolic 'dreamboat' presence than a driving force in these installments until later arcs.
