  • Thank you

I just wanted to thank you for coming back. This is my favorite podcast. I have a question. Will y’all consider covering the DC Finest collections? Y’all already basically did the first volume on your old podcast.

  • I’m So Late to the Party…

I’d originally left this review under the relatively inactive ‘Who’s Who’ feed, but seeing as how the same great personalities are still heavily involved elsewhere, I wanted to re-issue the review to the whole network (and the sentiments truthfully go to Shag, Rob, and all their cohosts/contributors)—- see below:

Well, I'm astronomically late to this entire party, but l'd be remiss if I didn't offer up an obligatory rave review. Shag and Rob have offered up a podcast—... more

  • Makes the listener want to join in!

Just finished listening to the Ted Lasso episode and it was fantastic. Listening to the three share their thoughts and adoration for the show and characters made me not only want to watch the the AppleTV show all over again, but had me wishing I was right there in the room with them, joining in the conversation. That’s the highest compliment I can give!

  • Found my joy

I’ve been listening to the FW Network for years. I came for the comic book talk, stayed for the movie and TV conversations, and found more and more great stuff to listen to and enjoy. This is a great group of people.

This is a great group of podcasts. It wasn’t until recently though that it really clicked with me just what it was that I loved about coming back time & time again. I ALWAYS have a smile on my face while listening. Always. Doesn’t matter how I felt when I pressed play, when the sho... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Peace Bound and Down - Action Comics 600
Q: Do you have a favorite panel or visual moment in Action 600?
A visual favorite is the moment where Superman realizes his powers don't work in the Olympus setting, which is celebrated for its expressive art and storytelling clarity.
Peace Bound and Down - Action Comics 600
Q: What makes the opening date sequence between Superman and Wonder Woman memorable and awkward?
Bailey and the host analyze the kiss-as-misread moment as a humanizing, awkward interaction that captures the era's sensibilities, and how the writing handles consent, tension, and humor in a way that remains discussion-worthy decades later.
Fade Out - Jayne Mansfield
Q: What do you think is her best performance, based on the whole body of work?
If I'm judging strictly on performance, I'd pick Playgirl After Dark (Too Hot to Handle) as her best, because it balances mood, color, and a rare dramatic edge with a distinctive B-level noir vibe that still lets her shine.
Empire to Jedi - Star Wars #48 (June 1981) - "The Third Law"
Q: Is this a Star Wars story, or does it feel like a different genre wearing a Star Wars skin?
The guest and host debate the story's Star Wars authenticity, acknowledging that while the premise is silly, the execution contains enough Star Wars DNA (Vader, Leia, space opera elements) to feel like Star Wars at times, while other moments lean toward a Saturday-morning cartoon tone.
Empire to Jedi - Star Wars #48 (June 1981) - "The Third Law"
Q: Who is your favorite expanded universe character and why?
Henry cites Starkiller from the Force Unleashed game as a favorite for his powers and narrative arc, while noting his appeal in the context of Star Wars media beyond films.
