I look forward to this every week. I’m an Australian, interested in living in Latin America where I have spent some very good time. This podcast has all kinds of thought- provoking material. Best of all is the irreverent, I-don’t-give-a-Damn host. He would be a lot of fun for a dinner party.
Please! Give me back that twenty mins!
I listen to a lot of podcasts across a lot of different genres. Most I really enjoy but occasionally you come across one that just doesn’t click for you. When this happens I just move on to something else in the wonderful world of podcasts.
Today I was exercising and didn’t want to break my rhythm to change podcasts so I listened to a whole episode.

The show centers on practical realities of relocating to Latin America, with a veteran host sharing decades of expat experience, listener emails, and candid commentary on cost of living, privacy, housing, energy, and daily life south of the border. Episodes blend actionable hacks (solar power, off‑grid setups, language learning, visa and licensing tips) with sharp takes on governance, infrastructure, and cultural dynamics. The styling is irreverent and opinionated, which appeals to listeners seeking unfiltered, real‑world guidance for planning a move or a long‑term stay in the region. A standout through-line is building a resilient “Plan B” for life abroad, often emphasizing self-reliance, skepticism of hype (EVs, digital IDs, etc.), and ha... more
