I’ve had dogs for donkey’s years but never bought a puppy! I’ve been to shelters for dogs, been given a dog and even found a stray who lived happily with me for 14 years. The realities of buying a puppy are laid bare here and the pitfalls of a poor choice made evident. This should be required listening for anyone who wants to buy a puppy and the watchword be prepared to wait.
