Although I applaud the BBC for supporting fans, for the most part these pieces are poorly written, don’t follow Dr. Who cannon, and the product quality is dreadful. I started with the oldest, and maybe they get better, but the 5 or 6 I sampled were headache inducing. Hard pass.
It’s a pretty good show, but where’s the character work? Where’s the love The Doctor feels for his companions? Where’s the connection that should develop between him and his companions? The Doctor has two hearts; he has so much love in him, and I just don’t see the love that he should feel for his companions. more
I love this
I love this it is amazing and it is one of my favorite Doctor Who stuff to listen to
Having been going since 1982 (pre-Big Finish!), the Doctor Who Audio Dramas provides Whovians with original Doctors and companions, but never forgets its roots, treating listeners to the occasional Dalek, Cyberman or Sontaran story. That it has been going for so long--it braved through the "wilderness years"--is quite remarkable.
