  • Unsatisfactory ending

So much plot, suspense, buildup… for what?! absolutely nothing

First the good- the plot was intriguing. The setting was interesting. The voice acting was great. It was so easy to binge this series. The author did a great job weaving the story together but the end is a frayed mess.

I really started to get annoyed with the plot but stuck with it for two reasons (potential spoiler) the author said by episode 10 it would turn more Hitchcock in tone. Then when Margaret read Andreas palm and said ... more

  • Bad production

This series seemed like it would be great. Sadly the titles don’t match, the intros don’t match, too much dead air that you have to check if the episode is finished. The constant “I love you” seems like a sub for lack of ideas to put into words. Very disappointed in this and I’m not even sure I had the ending since everything is misaligned.

  • unbelievably addictive!!!!

this show stands out as a super stylized- twisted take on the 1950s advertising culture trope!!! the main characters devolve morally as they “surrender “ to their erotic attraction. yet their stir is a story within a story with the “lunatic wife” at home, a harbinger for the naive secretary’s fate. the cast of characters are brought to life by incredible performances and i promise you’ll be absorbed in the soundscape and sometimes chilling plot. gaslight much?

  • Disappointing Mad Woman in the Attic

The sound design and voice acting is actually really amazing. If I was judging by these factors alone I would have rated 5 stars.

The plot was so promising. The stilted and twisted way the story is portrayed should have really worked for this narrative, but there was no point to any of it. Yes, there is a psychological dark side to relationships and power imbalances - and this podcast attempts to portray this. However, the show demonstrates these ideas unsuccessfully and really makes the liste... more

  • Take this genre a role will it.... I need more podcasts like this in my life💕💕💕

I have spent so many hours looking for an audiodrama series that is romantic, mysterious, heartbreaking, angsty genre stories. I randomly stumbled upon this one. It was exactly what I’ve have been looking for. After I’ve listened to so many true crime podcasts, But then I found one podcast (CBC alone) and it felt like my soul in a recording. I looked forever to see if there are heartaching, addicting, (non sci-fi or horror) podcasts. A gem. A favourite. THIS! Is exactly what I was looking for. I... more

  • It's definitely something

I started listening to this because my name is Andrea and while it was well done, I'm so glad I've finished the season. It was just impossible to like these characters and it was painful to listen to a lot of the time.

  • Infuriatingly good

Duuuude I am obsessed with this show! The music and the writing are absolutely pristine. The main characters are so loathsome that sometimes it can be hard to listen without wanting to cuss out a wall, but that’s a testament to how effective the writing is. I’m recommending it to everyone! (Also, how psycho is the person who left the “In love with Richard” review?!)

  • GASLIGHTING

THIS CHICK GETS GASLIGHTED SO HARD. I can't tell you how many times I thought "This chick is dumb as hell..." and "...please tell me she's not seriously fallilng for that line..." I laughed out loud so many times! But then I realized that we all know at least someone that is in (or has been in) a relationship like this. Neither lead is likable, honestly, but this is a good representation of one manipulative person, and the other with a desire for others' approval. Less one star because of a lack... more

  • In love with Richard

I was born in the 60’s, but love the life of Andrea. I have listened to the 1st season and here is my thinking. Richard need a strong woman like me to tell him No. Richard would do what I say. I loved Richard and Andrea voice. I was thinking this is some S & M sex, and Andrea could not handle it. She was so in love with Richard that she did what he said. When your young you don’t know better, and how old is Richard? I was at work listening to the show and my emotions were up and down. I never wr... more
