Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

From Busywork to Better Work | Kieran Luke of Cerulean
Q: What has been the biggest limiting factor to Cerulean's growth?
Skepticism about new tech, the need for proof of value, and the human factor of adoption in sales and design teams. Relationships and trust within the dealer network carry heavy weight, and customers want tangible ROI and a clear path to integrating new tools into existing workflows.
From Busywork to Better Work | Kieran Luke of Cerulean
Q: What happened first? And why do you think it wasn't a home run?
Cerulean started by exploring AI-led solutions tailored to mid-market contract furniture, but early experiments with broad automation and outreach did not yield the promised three-to-one ROI. They pivoted to a focused product, Port, which addresses specific pain points like data extraction from complex documents and targeted workflow automation, achieving clearer product-market fit.
LIVE at CET Experience with Aaron Okkema and Erin Corrill of Configura
Q: How does Configura's reaction to having another technology company here?
We're very excited about it and see it as an opportunity to collaborate and create solutions that benefit the entire ecosystem.
LIVE at CET Experience with Aaron Okkema and Erin Corrill of Configura
Q: What was the greatest realization for you in your dealer visits?
The realization was understanding the depth of work dealer designers have to do, often leading to multiple revisions that complicate their workflow.
The Art of the Proposal with Erick Gama of BOS
Q: What advice would you give to someone that is considering being a designer?
Be open to anything as the industry is always changing, and new roles you may not know about can arise.
