It’s also pushed me to be more intentional and consistent instead of just going through the ... more

The Mental Exercises Every Man Needs to Master Self Talk & The Inner Critic featuring Ashleigh Di Lello
Q: Henry asks for a practical framework to navigate the emotional space between survival instincts and the prefrontal cortex's logic.
The response stresses an integrated approach: acknowledge both sides (the and, not the either/or), schedule container time for emotional processing, and use guided writing and reflection to reframe identity away from being defined by struggle toward growing through it.
The Mental Exercises Every Man Needs to Master Self Talk & The Inner Critic featuring Ashleigh Di Lello
Q: Jason asks about the process for addressing Complex PTSD and the path to healing and growth.
Ashleigh emphasizes a comprehensive, multi-stage approach: first, process and surface the emotional charges through writing and discussion to desensitize the limbic overwhelm; then, engage in rewiring and prosocial brain networks to foster resilience and creativity. The goal is to move from symptoms to understanding the underlying patterns and building new evidence of change.
