  • AI

An entire episode complaining about criticisms of AI. I kept on waiting for the positives. I get it his career is built on signaling how contemporary he is.

  • Spot on.

Everyone feeling distraught after the election should listen to their latest episode with Catherine Liu on Kamala and the Dems, especially if you are still bewildered by how people could vote for Trump or generally live in the NYC cultural bubble. Highly informative and clearly articulated without oversimplifying.

  • An Informed and Crucial Perspective on Platforms & Media in the Modern Age

I wake up every night in a cold sweat wondering how we got here. How did we, as a “culture”, forgo beauty and truth in exchange for the mediocre slop paraded on the internet as a meaningful substitute for human connection, support and care. The culture journalist manages to bring sanity and perspective satanic death cult of VC funds and private equity that have strip mined American culture for lowest common denominator outrage bait masquerading as journalism. Coachella trend report 2026: Let's watch YouTube together
Q: What were the three Coachellas you mentioned, and how do they differ in experience?
Weekend 1 is the primary on-site content platform, Weekend 2 is the actual festival, and the live stream plus rewatches create Perpetual Coachella, a continuous on-demand experience that sustains engagement beyond the event.
Opinionated software: AI and the arts, revisited
Q: In one sentence, how has AI for art changed since 2022?
It has evolved from a controversial tool to a pragmatic, collaborative platform where artists experiment with data, models, and environments while seeking ways to maintain agency and fair compensation in a more open ecosystem.
Brooklyn's lost indie decade
Q: How did the realized DIY ecosystem differ from institutional or mainstream venues in terms of economics and artistic freedom?
The hosts discuss lower financial barriers, non-profit motivated spaces, and staff who were artists themselves, which allowed experimentation and a different pace of growth than commercial venues.
Brooklyn's lost indie decade
Q: In approaching the book, what did you feel was missing or not being told amidst the dominant narratives about New York's music scenes?
Ronen explains that Brooklyn's DIY, geographically diffuse, and artist-driven networks had been underrepresented, and that the book aimed to center those stories and the people who built them beyond the more commonly chronicled Manhattan acts.
Welcome to the reality exchange
Q: Why are prediction markets becoming so popular now?
They're surging due to increased interest in sports betting, their integration into political media, and the wider acceptance of gambling culture.
