I love a good choice! The problem is that these options are tied up in a rather standard story with not so interesting characters. Also it's often not so clear what the decisions actually mean. I surely will listen to this again at some point with different choices but it's not my top priority in my endless list of podcasts and audio dramas. Good sound design!
I’ve been pumped about this show since the trailer dropped and it’s already surpassed all of my previously high expectations. The writing feels organic to the characters and situation, and the acting is pitch perfect across the entire cast. The score and sound design are both truly ‘out of this world’ brilliant. Choose your own mediocre rushed story line! Story development (or lack thereof) is drowned out by special effect sounds, big cinematic music, and dramatic coughs and screams. You could listen to this in a fictional language, understand not a single word, and still have the same lack luster conclusion. 1.5/5

The Culling is Randy Greer’s 6-part choose-your-own-adventure scifi/horror interactive audio drama in the Black Star universe. If that sounds like a lot of complexity, Greer matches it with layers and layers of moving sound that sends energy and input all around your nervous system.
