Lead singer of Marillion, father, hippy, punk, soul singer, progressive rockstar (wtf!), defender of the faith, voice of reason in a world gone crazy... ...and now podcaster. Join me as I talk about my life and what is rambling around in my head. Along the way I will focus on some of the stories that have shaped my career and my life, as well as reading from my diaries and offering my take on the ... more

There are certain things in life that are absolutes.
For a start - the fastest way to find a stray piece of lego is to walk across the floor in stockinged feet, and you will find it in an instant (and with more than a modicum of extreme pain). Toast... more
I happened to listen to the opening credits today, and this week's chapter is certainly a bit random, and a bit irreverent.

Let’s start with the plaudits. High fives, if not big tens are due to John Sturm and Seamus Colgan for being the purple folk who said that we needed more chat about the Europeans.

I used to be a purple but I got increasingly fed up with the mindless and ill prepared ramblings. This podcast is at its best when H is called upon to answer a real and proper serious question or address a theme in an album. H’s reflective, informative moods are superb, but guys if you have nothing to talk about maybe don’t do a podcast that week. The number of episodes of inane warbling led me to cancel my subscription some time back which is a shame, as I love H.

Highlight of my week when this podcast drops. Always an amusing and entertaining listen. Thanks H and Steve!
I’ve listened to Ant and H doing this podcast since the beginning.
It’s brilliant listening to the diaries and stories behind the music of Marillion .
The guests they get in too also are brilliant.
Charlie the bus driver was a classic need to get him back on
Ant and H let the banter flow between them at times it’s like 2 guys down the pub having a laugh .
Long may they continue with this podcast
Steve and Ant are the perfect remedy for the stressful commute! Silly enough to entertain with just the perfect sprinkling of information to make me a hit around the water cooler.
Wow, used to love this podcast but over the past few months has just become an advert for political champagne socialism and lefty clapping
