  • John Lewis

TYSM for highlighting Congressman John Lewis. If he hadn’t been so ill, and his successor not listened to

Pelosi or McConnell or hadn’t trusted Article 3 to hold officials accountable for abuses of power when it suited their own policy goals, all of the corruption would have been charged before the first impeachment, I think. He would’ve agitated Nadler for quicker movement and aggressive defense of the Congress, and the People.

This “news” podcast provides problematic, one-sided, and incomplete coverage of various news events. Reporters fail to challenge guests and interviewees when they provide incorrect or even offensive information.

  • Needs to be more in-depth

I’ve listened to several shows. They’re done but just so surface level. I’d prefer much better questions from the host and more in depth

Summer is here, and so are cicadas
Q: What happens when a brood or a sect of a brood goes extinct?
Cicadas are native and beneficial to the ecosystem, as their mass emergence contributes nutrients to the soil and helps maintain tree health.
Summer is here, and so are cicadas
Q: So, with this particular brood, brood 14, the one that's coming up in Massachusetts, what is special about them? What makes them unique?
They live in sandy soil, which makes them more vulnerable to extinction, and they are native to specific regions including parts of Georgia, Pennsylvania, and Ohio.

Q: So, what are they doing underground? How are they living like this?
They're generally eating and moving around, though it's hard to know the extent of their activities underground due to the difficulty in studying them.
Priests, nuns and cat burglars: The history of Boston's anti-war movement
Q: Can you make change from the inside of a system, or do you have to smash the entire system?
Brendan believes in needing both approaches, where inside incrementalists can work with outside agitators to create change. He sees himself as more of an institution smasher.
Talking symphony strings for the season of spring with Lloyd Schwartz
Q: Do you ever get bored of the genre?
I can get bored with a performance, but in terms of the music itself, no, never.
