Never heard of this case before this podcast. Such a heartbreaking story. I know the mom made mistakes too but I feel disgusted of how they treated her. Definitely a must listen.
Sadly, I had to stop listening because I simply could not understand the mother’s accent. I wish they had maybe paraphrased some of her key points.
Brilliant work clearly presented. Very accessible.
A grim tale, but it needed to be told - a thorough explanation not just of a horrible crime, but how it happened and what it says about British society.
Really awful story but told so well - I really enjoy the short episodes and there was no repetitiveness that you often get in crime podcasts. Thankful to the officers who re-investigated this and got justice but I can’t help but think how many other cases like this are out there unsolved due to failings on the initial investigation. But also how amazing how far the science has come to be able to prosecute people years later!
