  • Loving this podcast!

Discovered BBM a couple months ago when I was around 20 weeks pregnant. Dedicated CrossFit athlete who hasn’t stopped throughout this pregnancy, my first, but always looking for excellent info and found it here! Would like to see episodes on older women too- I’m 42 with this IVF baby- so things do change, whether pregnant or not, in aging. Trying to focus on relaxing pelvic floor- what a feat after years of staying super tight :) looking forward to more from BBM!!

Q: How long after birth is some spotting with running normal, vaginal and C-section if they're different? And does breastfeeding affect that time?
The amount of bleeding after childbirth can vary greatly, with some women bleeding for only two weeks while others may experience spotting for up to 12 weeks. Breastfeeding does not significantly affect the timeline, although low estrogen levels during lactation can influence sensations and contribute to irritation.
Why is Pain so Common in Pregnancy?
Q: What about postpartum belly binding? Is there evidence for its benefits or dangers?
The evidence is limited; while some feel support from belly binding, it's not a magic cure and individual experiences vary.
