Listening to this on a road trip and it’s ok. I like that there were women doing the podcast (and Ben in season 1) but wish they had more experience in broadcasting. When it’s only the women, there’s such a wide range of vocal range from barely audible to very loud, especially when they have a guest on the show! Drives me crazy. Also so much vocal fry and up talking.
The first season of this podcast was pretty good. The second season has just been horrible! I find myself shaking my head wondering if they even watched the show. They need to take some better notes and maybe watch the show more than once. They seem to have no understanding of the characters. It’s unfortunate this is the only podcast for this great show or else I would not tune in.
I typically enjoy the Animal Kindom afterbuzz, but the review of episode 6 annoyed me to the point of not wanting to finish listening. I felt like the panel didn't watch the show. Maybe you should take notes while watching. I also realized how young and inexperienced the panel is based on some the conclusions drawn or assumptions. Might be good to add an older or worldlier panalist.
Love this show and the review you guys give, especially naming your favorite Cody. If I used songs to describe each character, it would go like this: Smurf = Maneater, Pope = Hurt (NiN), Baz = B!tch (Meredith Brooks), Craig = Lit Up (Buck Cherry), Deren = Boyfriend (Tegan & Sara), and J = Drive (Incubus). Look forward to your show this week!
