  • Pompous Pensioner

Well past his prime. Andrew should hang it up already but would prefer to further pad his pockets. He is must diminished these days, common and sensationalist. An utter dimwit on foreign affairs in particular, though one would never know it such is his hubris and smug self-certainty.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Trump’s Iran objectives have all failed... so what next? | The Andrew Neil Report
Q: What are the immediate options for President Trump given the current situation?
The guests outline a spectrum from a more aggressive naval blockade to limited force including power-projection and potentially covert coordination with Iran's internal opposition, but emphasize that a broad ground invasion remains unlikely and politically costly.
China has won the AI war & this is when the US bubble will burst
Q: When does the bubble burst and what could trigger it?
I expect the next two years to bring a bust in AI-related valuations and private-debt risks, driven by leverage in private credit and energy bottlenecks; a crash is likely, but the timing is uncertain, with structural factors likely to cause cascading bankruptcies.
China has won the AI war & this is when the US bubble will burst
Q: What is your overview of where we are with this Chinese-American competition in AI?
China has built vast energy transmission capabilities and is pushing a cheaper, open-source AI path that challenges American proprietary systems; as energy constraints bite and costs fall, the US-driven private-credit expansion may not be sustainable, risking a market bust while China could gain long-term advantage through openness.
Brexit, migration mistakes & Tory chaos | Andrew Neil vs Michael Gove The Full Interview
Q: Did Brexit deliver the promises that were made during the referendum?
The guests argued that some promises, particularly around immigration control and economic gains, were not fulfilled as expected, and that various external and internal factors influenced outcomes.
Why Andy Burnham's honeymoon will be over by Christmas
Q: Will the honeymoon be over by Christmas?
Fraser Nelson answers affirmatively, suggesting a summer bump followed by bad news in the budget, with realities about growth and living standards setting in.
