  • A lovely pair of gentlemen

Absolutely love this podcast. Even when I’m not in the mood for Warhammer, I will put these guys on and just listen. Been listening to them since the beginning and appreciate the growth not only in the podcast but in Dan and Campbell.

  • Best 40k podcast by a long shot. Best audio quality. Open minded caring and full of love for lgbtq+ and adjacent communities, which is refreshing in this space. Best stupid sandwich yarns, and generally the best.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

40k Badcast 186 - [Al Pacino voice] She's got a DEEP BACKFIELD
Q: Should Games Workshop limit the number of turns to four in 40k to speed up games?
The hosts argue that five turns currently provide a balanced pace and allow meaningful primary and secondary scoring; shortening to four could force earlier scoring but may reduce strategic depth and could lead to more discussions about when games are decided.
40k Badcast 184 - Cogfort Behavioral Therapy
Q: What are you hoping to achieve with this book and series?
Kassabian hopes to write an enjoyable gunpowder fantasy series that reflects Armenian culture and history, while presenting a grounded military journey that avoids glorifying violence and emphasizes the human cost and lived experience.
40k Badcast 159 - 50 Guys in the Hole
Q: What roles would you guys like to play within the Astro-Militarium Imperial Service Corps, and how would you work logistics into the tabletop game?
The hosts discuss the concept of logistics within the Imperial army, referencing the Departmento Munitorum and suggesting that while logistics are crucial to the lore, integrating them into gameplay may complicate things. They agree that such elements could work well in narrative campaigns but may not fit into matched play.
