This is how journalism should be done. Joey has done a fantastic job with the interviews and you actually get proper answers from the candidates.
I appreciate the interviews however, the candidates are reading out their prepared answers and it sounds exactly like that. It’s repetitive and monotonous. Do you have the written script of these answers ? That might help.
If you want a thorough run down of who’s running in all the wards and why, you’d be hard pressed to find a better source than The Public Record and this podcast. Traditional local media do a good, surface level job, but it’s Joey who goes in for details that should matter to voters in the 2018 municipal election.
With the upcoming Municipal election, if you want to learn more about who is running in your Ward, look no further than this podcast.
Candidates that are interviewed are asked the same set of questions. Listen to see if you like/agree with their answers. Come election time you will be better informed as to whom best fits your priorities for the ENTIRE City, and your Ward.
As of this date (August 18/2018) not all interviews have taken place, but rest assured they will all appear here.
So stay... more
Even being physically assaulted by a candidate doesn’t scare off this professional journalist. Honest true coverage where the candidates make their case not the reporter. Well done!!
