A group of funny, very knowledgeable, very diligent people who love their heavy music.
They’re also kind and inclusive and never punch down and support and oppose the same kinds of people I do.

The thoughtfulness and attention given to the album reviews are almost as good as the albums themselves. Love the show and appreciate all the hard work.
I’ve been listening to this podcast since day one.
The Hyperblast format that was introduced has been a great improvement with news, live reviews and opinions I’ve come to trust. The new release album section has put so many bands on my radar and it’s great that they let you know what genre or vibe they are.

Avoid. Try The Heavyist instead.

This show centers on hard rock and metal with a weekly mix of news, reviews, and banter. Episodes frequently cover new album announcements, festival coverage, live reviews from big UK and European shows, and thoughtful debates about legacy acts versus contemporary releases. The format blends strong personalities, humor, and behind-the-scenes industry chatter, making it a go-to for listeners who want candid opinions and a calendar-driven view of the metal scene. A standout trait is the balance between long-form discussions and rapid-fire news, plus a willingness to critique, celebrate, and contextualize both legacy bands and up-and-coming acts.
