  • Heavy and Kind

A group of funny, very knowledgeable, very diligent people who love their heavy music.

They’re also kind and inclusive and never punch down and support and oppose the same kinds of people I do.

I’m a weekly listener and Patreon supporter and active participant on the pod’s

Facebook group, and have been for many years, and will be forever.

  • Excellent reviews

The thoughtfulness and attention given to the album reviews are almost as good as the albums themselves. Love the show and appreciate all the hard work.

  • My go to rock and metal podcast

I’ve been listening to this podcast since day one.

The Hyperblast format that was introduced has been a great improvement with news, live reviews and opinions I’ve come to trust. The new release album section has put so many bands on my radar and it’s great that they let you know what genre or vibe they are.

  • Speech therapy needed

Can you get the one who can’t speak very well some speech therapy? I would imagine that being able to speak properly is the bare minimum if you are going to host a podcast? Borderline unlistenable

  • Was good until it went woke.

Gone by the wayside now. Made up genders, insisting covid was a scam blah blah blah.

    Avoid. Try The Heavyist instead.

Q: Do you have an answer for any TNM award that you would change in retrospect?
In hindsight, I would say Depeche Mode at Twickenham really deserves the 2023 gig of the year award instead of Tripticon.
Hyperblasts: None So Vile as the Leppard
Q: Mark, are you excited for a new Haggard Cat record?
Very excited, the EP they released in 2021, I really loved.
Hyperblasts: None So Vile as the Leppard
Q: Mark, tell me about the Def Leppard song that was released ahead of their Las Vegas residency?
The song is called Rejoice, but it sounds really bad and poorly produced.
