This week we've got a surprisingly lengthy debate about what "pomp without circumstance" actually means. (Spoiler: it's absurdity. The Spleen has strong feelings about this.)

From there we spiral into our wheelhouse: the discourse around Graham Plat... more

Spencer opens by casually mentioning that Spenpai is stuck in mandatory HR training after some "incidents," which is a sentence that raises more questions than it answers. Spencer soldiers on with Kevin, and the show kicks off with him describing in ... more

We kick things off by accidentally introducing the wrong show, arguing about Bonnie Tyler lyrics, and discovering that turning away from the camera reveals a wall-to-wall penny situation nobody knew was there.

From there, things get real fast. Spenc... more

Spencer opens with a string of expletives so dense it demonetized the video version on contact. Kevin, meanwhile, had to leave his own house and drive to a third location just to record an episode about cartoons. Anyway: FLCL, episodes one and two.

  • Abed sucks

Least cool guy in the world, idk why Spencer Dan and Kevin have a high opinion of him. Sounds dumb and way too try hard. He should feel bad for the way he portrays himself.

  • An awesome time with quirky guys

I miss Master Manual but this show is a fantastic replacement. I love rant after hilarious rant that can also become quite philosophical. Keep it up, Spencer!

  • Hidden gem of a podcast

Spencer and Kevin’s weekly podcasts have a really cozy feeling. It’s like hanging out with two old friends as they discuss current events, anime and soda pop. It’s always very cathartic to hear Spencer vent his frustration with the absurdity of the world around him as well as finding the humor in the everyday. Give the show a chance and you won’t be disappointed

Eats Vicariously Through Lettuce
Q: So when did you get your start in stand-up? How did that pop off for you?
Kyle explains his college improv beginnings, being pushed to write new material weekly, and gradually turning that into a stand-up path that led to his current career and writing for different formats.
Failing to Half Ass
Q: How do you feel about your podcasting style?
I feel competent when interviewing, and it flows well, but discussions can become chaotic.
Failing to Half Ass
Q: What do you think makes you start and stop smoking weed the way you have?
It's hard to distinguish the reasons behind smoking again and whether it's related to my insecurities in relationships.
Yell a Threatening Monologue Across a Meadow
Q: How can we create meaningful community? And also, what should I be doing?
Work and structure. Host parties, and build community around shared activities.
Anime Binge Chemicals
Q: Which episode did you like more, twenty-one or twenty-two?
I want to say twenty-one because twenty-two had some things that kind of annoyed me a little bit where twenty-one I think explained more, even though it wasn't like, I still have a ton of questions.
