  • Mental health

I feel like this show focuses way too much on interpersonal relationships and not actually on mental health. Like what about just regular depression. Oh no, we need to interview people who have very specific unique stories based on their family relationships. No thanks.

I have listened since the beginning. I can’t listen to your free form conversations due to Carolyn putting like in most sentences and sometimes more than once per sentence. I will continue to listen when she’s not included.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

AI Deadbots Want To Cure Your Grief
Q: From the moment you find out about this technology to the moment you hit publish and watch this go out in the world, what has changed about your perspective?
The interviewee discusses how the industry has shifted from theoretical discussions to a massive, commercially driven landscape, which has forced a re-evaluation of memory rights, the ethics of using a deceased person's voice, and the balance between memorialization and monetization. She emphasizes that grief is not just a problem to be solved but a fundamental human process that requires time, ritual, and real human support rather than outsourcing to machines.
Middle School Divorcee | It's Going to be OK with Elise Loehnen
Q: What is your current 'okay thing' and why does it matter right now?
Elise and Nora share a mix of curiosity-driven topics (space, aging, music) and everyday rituals (sleepovers, makeup, fashion) that help them feel grounded, emphasizing that small, personal practices can carry meaningful emotional returns.
I Can’t Have Kids and My Friends Are Pregnant
Q: How do you cope with being an object of pity from friends who are pregnant?
Acknowledge the hurt, communicate your needs to your friends, and seek support from other women who understand your experience; boundaries and open dialogue help transform pity into genuine care.
Update: The Fat Guy with the Alcohol
Q: Have you been back to Disney at all? Are you, is it still appealing to you?
I would like to. I'm not, I guess not on the books right now. I haven't been since the surgery.
Update: The Fat Guy with the Alcohol
Q: How is your relationship with food different like post-surgery than it was before?
I've found that it's shifted away from a social event where food is there and a key part of it, and more just a social event where food happens to become available.
