What is it really like to be in the police? In this podcast, I interview many police officers who’ve dealt with many fascinating, frequently dangerous and sometimes rather weird things. If you‘re interested in policing, this no holds barred podcast is definitely for you. **Warning: graphic content and some swearing**

In this episode, I try and help people understand what will be going on behind the scenes as UK policing deals with the worst outbreak of violent disorder since the 2011 riots in England.
In this episode, I chat to Andy Fairie, who has retrained as a psychotherapist after leaving policing. He is also the host of the SFQ podcast and author of Listening Skills for Effective Policing. www.amazon.co.uk/dp/1915713455/ref=cm_sw_r_ap... more

A great insight to proper British Policing.
I’m not a copper myself but I’ve found it fascinating to listen to the stories, opinions and views of people with a greater knowledge of the some what hidden world of British policing. This is my new favourite podcast, keep doing what you’re doing Iain!
Decent podcast with some pertinent and salient points in regards to the way Policing has changed over the years, and in my view not for the better.
On a side note, I’m surprised to find yet again, in Dave Marshals case, that another senior officer has managed to get temporarily promoted up another rank for the last 12 months.
I’m sure that’s nothing to do with the pension boost 😳this gives.

I have just started listening to TJF, I have listened to 3 so far, I found the tribute to RUC really interesting but what I really liked was the fact much of what I hear is my experience during my 30 year policing career from AFO to SB. I look forward to listening to more episodes, keep up this great work.
Just listening to episode 75 and I nearly had tears in my eyes thinking of fantastic memories. Listening to Ian Broughtons experiences at Stoke Newington. He arrived a year after me. I was on A relief and he was on C. The way he described it back then was spot on. It was exciting and exhilarating. We couldn’t wait until we started the next shift. We was even told we had to take our annual leave by the inspector. We didn’t want it we wanted to be at work. How things changed. I ended up doing 15 y... more
