  • This is a great podcast! The information is actionable, to the point, and unique from the generic marketing advice that podcasts are littered with these days. You can tell Erin is a true expert. Every episode gives you so much value and is well worth your busy time. I particularly loved this episode about making sure your websites user experience is effective. As a DIYer solopreneure, getting specific examples of what good UX is has been eye opening as I plan a redesign for my website.

  • A New Favorite!

I’m new to copywriting and getting back into web design (from 2001) so I’m really happy that I found Erin’s podcast.

I really appreciate how she expounds on what she’s teaching because I’m one of those students that need to know why we should do something along with the how!

And I appreciate the confidence in her voice that is contagious - and I need all the confidence I can get!

Q: What are some of the first things to check on a site when preparing for ads?
Check the conversion rate in a 90-day window, ensure the messaging is crystal clear about services, tighten CTAs, fix navigation, and verify the top path to the desired action is obvious and consistent.
What to Have Ready Before Paying for Google Ads with Olivia Lawson
Q: Why is it important to optimize a site before running paid ads to drive leads or sales?
Because ads bring traffic, but if the site can't convert that traffic, you'll burn through budget without gaining meaningful outcomes. A clear value proposition, strong CTAs, and a smooth user journey are essential so paid traffic becomes profitable rather than wasteful.
