Really enjoy this. Funny and interesting. A few more guests like the Peter Senior episode would top this podcast right off. Keep it going !!

  • Talk Ads to me

Ping, Footjoy, BMW, Host Plus, BetR, Callaway, Titlest. I get you need revenue but on top of the incessant ad reads slipping more into product placement into the conversation as content makes the show unlistenable. I want to like it but you guys show disdain for the listeners with excessive shilling.

  • Nick is great, Mark is hopeless

Unfortunately one of the hosts has no credibility, having been a failed touring pro. Nick though is great, and has credibility, although he always looks uncomfortable when Mark keeps touching him.

  • Too many ads

Good insight into the sport and the Australian scene but over 10 mins of gimmicky ads on a half an hour podcast is taking the piss.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Bonus Feedback: 'Nick and Mark What are You Smoking?!?!', and What is Preferable: 2 PGA Champs, or 1 Other Major?
Q: What looks better on a golfer's resume, winning two PGA's or winning one of the other majors?
Most hosts lean toward preferring two PGA Championships, but there is nuance: some would value an Open or Masters higher for the broader prestige and historical significance, depending on what they personally value in a legacy.
Monday Mini: Advice on how to find a Golf Coach
Q: How should I approach finding a coach if I want long-term development?
Start with a clear statement of your goals, express that you're looking for a long-term relationship, and schedule a coffee meeting to discuss your history and what you want to achieve over time.
Friday Feedback: Rory's Secret Augusta Weapon, More Caddy Chat, and Would Nick or Mark beat an LPGA Tour Pro?
Q: Today, would you beat an LPGA Tour pro?
They believe it would depend on course, condition, and pressure; as a scratch amateur against a top LPGA player, the result could swing based on the specific tournament pressure and course familiarity, with the rule of thumb that major championship type pressure could level the playing field
Ep198: Why Tiger can't be Ryder Cup Captain; 'Nothing Better than Carnage for Pros', and Gary Woodland's Win....so great!
Q: What is the likelihood of Tiger Woods serving as Ryder Cup captain given his recent incidents?
The hosts suggest it would be highly problematic and could turn the Masters into a circus, implying a strong mismatch between the responsibilities of captaincy and the scrutiny around his personal conduct.
Golf Tips for Windy Conditions, More on the Non Signing of Tour Pro's Cards, and Wayne 'Radar' Riley's Hair.
Q: In saying that, Nick, when you saw that happen, shouldn't you alert the official when you first spot it?
The hosts discuss that alerting immediately can escalate tensions and affect both players; delaying until after the round is sometimes chosen to protect focus and avoid on-course confrontation, though it's not ideal.
