I listened to all the episodes to give it a fair hearing. All I could hear was over and over again, ignoring the facts, blackening the name of experts, over-egging the pudding, and constantly inserting themselves inappropriately with overly sensationalist tones of voice. Highly irritating. Also the fact that when talking about a neonate they insist on calling him “it” - they should hang their heads in shame!
The interview is hard to hear. Sound not good.
Great job. It was very brave of you to stand up for Lucy while everyone hated her. You were right, she’s innocent. Now, after a press conference, I see it clear. Before I thought that despite Letby’s guilt wasn’t proven beyond the reasonable doubts, she’s likely guilty. She deserves retrial, but it’s not for her, it’s important for the UK. For the justice system. I’m just a refugee here but I love this country. I don't want the judicial system to be broken and pass sentences without any evidence... more
I listened to John Sweeney’s “Was There Ever a Crime?” with a mix of curiosity and growing frustration. While the podcast claims to offer a fresh perspective on Lucy Letby’s case, it falls short by focusing more on speculative theories and personal attacks rather than the hard evidence that led to her conviction.

Worrying and very suspicious. Lucy Letby certainly should not be in prison based on the evidence. I think you are right - she IS the original whistleblower. I hope those 4 consultants can’t sleep at night night knowing what they’ve instigated. Let’s hope justice prevails and she gets the chance of another trial. This time with all the facts and evidence.

The exploration centers around the conviction of Lucy Letby, a former neonatal nurse accused of murdering infants in her care. The series engages in discussions about the potential miscarriage of justice, the validity of medical evidence, and systemic failures in the healthcare environment. With a mix of expert interviews and listener engagement, the narrative raises profound questions about the integrity of the judicial process and the role of statistics versus clinical evidence in such high-stakes cases. It is characterized by its critical examination of the evidence against Letby, emphasizing the broader implications for justice and accountability within medical institutions. The unique focus on investigating the tension between expert t... more
