We're back at last to begin coverage of the New Theatrical Rebuild of Evangelion tetralogy! But first, a supersize welcome back episode exploring the “lost” live action segments from End of Evangelion, the parody audio drama “After the End” and the b... more
Luke and Ben review the Neon Genesis Evangelion tv show, and rebuild movies with such enthusiasm, humor and knowledge from their writing back ground. Their intellectual dive into this phenomenon rooting out every morsel of meaning was just what I was looking for. It doesn’t give all the answers and it should and left me thinking about the show and films and looking forward to rewatching the entire collection with new eyes. Luke and Ben thank you for your time and thoughts, loved coming along fo... more
This is a really good evangelion podcast and I enjoy watching along with it!
They have nothing else, they must pilot the Evas
I wish every piece of media I love had a podcast this high quality with hosts this is passionate and informed. 10/10 made me start my 9th rewatch
Or if you have never seen it but want to watch along with the series
If you grew up in the 90’s these guys will feel like your best friends. I love it so much!
Great quality and care put into dissecting the art of Eva, glad you guys are back
I loved listening to Sync Ratios while going through the episodes on netflix. It made me feel like I was part of a larger conversation and helped explain some of the confusing aspects of the show. I highly recommend!
Having already seen the series and being a massive fan of the Evangelion series, I wanted to find a podcast about it. After quite a bit of trial and error I stumbled across Sync Ratios and I love it! No one I know personally has really seen/ been interested in NGE and it’s so great to see how much Ben and Luke share a love for it. It really does feel like watching and talking about each episodes with a group of friends. It’s extremely entertaining and, as it’s so great to continue my rewatch of ... more
It's always interesting to listen in to these episodes, as the presenters are filmakers (with stuff on netflix I believe). If youre a fan of NGE, or just tuned in for the first time because of the netflix dump, give this one a listen!
...that this Podcast doesn’t have any recommendations so far. It’s a great podcast with so much insider knowledge, love for the series and nostalgia. If you can listen to one podcast about Evangelion, it should be this one!
Great commentary - really opens the show up in an entertaining and thought provoking way. Also gives great context. Second time watching NGE and it’s much richer this time around!
I like the hosts' take on going through the series. They don't walkthrough each and every detail of an episode, but rather expound on the innerworkings of the show. 10.10/10.10
Without a doubt my favorite podcast.
Whatever that says about me doesn’t matter.
This is a fantastic analysis of the best thing ever televised by two wonderful screenwriters whose smooth as silk delivery allows for easy repeat plays as I go about my life / wander around the house / water my plants / stare up at the ceiling / walk around the neighborhood / drive down the road / whatever the hell.
It’s great. It keeps the story alive inside of me. Thanks guys.
Note : it’s Captain Katsuragi, no... more
An interesting viewpoint on Eva that pretty much captures the mentality that me and my college buds had when discussing NGE. This podcast is gonna spread faster than the blast radius of the second impact.
