  • Helpful for a high handicap player like me

Learned of The Golf Room (TGR) recently when searching for a good place to get a proper fitter for new irons. Got a great experience with Matt Clinger at TGR. Told of these podcasts and other social media outlets that Kyle uses to help players. I've already benefitted from KOI Breaking 90, even though I was only half way thru. Kyle is giving me concrete steps to help my "reborn" golf game.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

126. How a 15 Handicap Became My Business Partner: The Origin Story of Kyle and Dominic
Q: Why is constant contact with a coach so critical in your system?
Constant contact creates a disciplined feedback loop where daily video reviews and quick adjustments prevent drift, allowing players to internalize correct mechanics, reduce reliance on fleeting feelings, and steadily improve rather than chasing quick fixes.
126. How a 15 Handicap Became My Business Partner: The Origin Story of Kyle and Dominic
Q: Can you explain what a stock shot actually is?
A stock shot is a golf ball that starts one direction and curves back toward the flag without over-curving, usable whether the ball finishes as a draw or a fade, and it embodies a repeatable, controllable pattern that underpins a reliable ball flight.
10 Minutes to $10K with Kyle Morris, Ep. 3: Entertainment Venue or Player Development Facility — Why You Can't Be Both
Q: What does your five- to ten-year plan look like in terms of market and product focus?
The guest emphasizes prioritizing either entertainment/events or player development, with the former leaning toward a hospitality-driven model and the latter toward a year-round coaching-centric facility; marketing, sales, and operations should align with the chosen path to avoid seasonal slumps.
10 Minutes to $10K with Kyle Morris, Ep. 3: Entertainment Venue or Player Development Facility — Why You Can't Be Both
Q: Who is the target avatar you're marketing to, and how does that shape the business model?
The guest explains there are distinct avatars for entertainment/bar-focused experiences versus golf-centric player development, and that trying to serve both dilutes focus; the recommended approach is to pick a primary model and align all offerings and marketing around that core customer.
10 Minutes to $10K with Kyle Morris, Ep. 1: Why a Fully Booked Golf Business Is Only Doing $300K (And How to Fix It)
Q: What is your current rent and facility size, and how does that affect pricing decisions?
The rent is very low for the size of the space, which makes current pricing look undersized relative to the space and potential; the implication is to expand capacity and redesign pricing around a high-value membership model.
