  • Rypgolf episode?

After listening the the 4 part series and attempting to find the website and app for training discussed it doesn’t exist? Would have been nice to get more information on how to find it since the episodes purposefully leave the actual how to fix your swing out

  • Get to the point

Love the Luke 10 min clips but the hour long equipment shows are so bad. You waste so much time talking about nothing-horses for my daughter, machines that kick soccer balls blah blah blah. It could be so good but the time wasting and the arrogance of “uncle gene” is nauseating. Please just get to the titleist t series iron comparison

  • Separate the Equipment Show

This podcast with LKD is great and every episode teaches me something new. I also do not like having an hour long episode about equipment at all. Would be 5 stars without the equipment podcast mixed in.

Shouldn’t ever hear anything about politics in a golf podcast. Hard pass.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

How pros determine bail out strategy
Q: What did Luke Donald say about dealing with fast greens and challenging slopes when deciding how to bail out?
He stressed keeping the ball in a manageable area to maintain a viable up-and-down opportunity, rather than attempting risky hero shots, especially when the greens are fast and heavily sloped.
The Laws of Ball Flight
Q: Now, if you're starting the ball left, and it's going left, is it a face issue, or are you striking it off the heel and they're not coming back?
It depends on whether the path and face are aligned; a left-start with left-curving shots can indicate a face-to-path issue or a path issue, and the coach's fix will differ depending on which is off.
Adam Scott on longevity
Q: What would you say is the number one reason for your longevity in the game?
Scott points to moderation and a balanced approach to training, emphasizing sustainable habits and gradual progress rather than extreme, unsustainable regimes.
Behind the curtain with TaylorMade's head of putters
Q: What was your first week like on tour as a putter rep, and how nervous were you making those adjustments on players' equipment?
He describes the initial weeks, the learning curve of working with elite players, the challenge of gaining trust, and how early successes came from understanding a player's stroke and fit rather than forcing changes.
Behind the curtain with TaylorMade's head of putters
Q: So James, like, what is your origin story, man? Like, how did you first get into golf?
James explains he started in golf after a motocross injury, played at San Diego State with Xander Schauffele, transitioned from teaching pro to tour putter rep, and built relationships that led to his current role.
