Colm Ahern, Josh Wise, and Adam Carroll chat about the sneakiest of interactive media: stealth video games. On each episode, the former Rock Paper Shotgun and VideoGamer critics go in-depth on one stealth / stealthy video game from history and discuss whether its stealth and its boom boom are up to snuff. We’re back after our summer holidays and kicking off the second half of season 3 by looking at a particular Washington-based developer that we’ve looked at many times before, Sucker Punch Productions. After chatting about two-thirds of their raccoon ... more

Imagine a game so successful that during the making of it, you actually end up coming up with three games. That’s what Capcom did when they were prototyping Resident Evil 4. They got that, they got Devil May Cry and they also got the game we’re talki... more
I’ve only listened to one episode so far (on Tenchu: Stealth Assassins as I’ve been playing it) and I’m so impressed already by the in-depth analysis including reviews and articles at the time. Not only that but these guys are funny and great fun - very well done on one Boom Boom of a podcast series! Can’t wait to listen to more!
I'm beginning my 3rd year of regular fortnightly listening to Stealth Boom Boom after discovering them by way of a Tom Francis retweet sharing SBB's early episode on Gunpoint. (The fact that Gunpoint garnered a clean sweep of Espionage Explosion top-ratings gave me an immediate heads-up that these three lads know their Hitman: Blood Moneys from their Hitman: Absolutions.) A fun, funny, and [surprisingly] well-researched podcast that re-visits some great stealth/stealthy video games from years go... more

I stumbled on this podcast when on a Splinter Cell nostalgia trip, and it quickly became my new favourite. Colm, Adam and Josh make an excellent trio and the show is great at contextualising each title, often digging out archaic adverts and revealing some interesting facts about the development cycle. A really fun and in-depth podcast that I can’t recommend enough for fans of the stealth genre.
So you’re reading a podcast review eh? Sorry to tell you this but there’s a chance there might be something wrong with you. Maybe try going outside and meeting a few people once in a while.
Honestly I’m only writing this so I can hear my name read out on the show. If you’re hearing this Tommo, congratulations buddy, you did it 👍
Oh! The show? It’s okay I suppose. Bit talky, but it seems they’re doing the best they can.
