The stories are great and very well told. But they’re pretty limited to more elite/privileged individuals/families which perpetuates the sad narrative of those groups being entitled to immigration rights...more than others who aren’t in graduate school, business owners, etc.

Each episode conveys the stories of people who are usually otherwise unnoticed, even by the systems they're trying to interact with. Just absolutely a great mechanism to humanize the real experiences of the complexities of immigration status.

It focuses on the people going through the system and their stories rather than the system itself, which is the show's greatest strength (and the biggest differentiator from similar shows). The show brings a human-centered and deeply personal look at what is often a very impersonal and inhumane system. Recommended for anyone, but a must listen for those interested in immigration.
